Eligibility Criteria for Portugal Government Scholarships 2025-2026:
- This scholarship is open to international students from all nationalities.
- For Undergraduate applicants must have Completion of secondary education (equivalent to Portuguese high school diploma)
- For Master’s applicants must have a recognized bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- For Doctoral (PhD) applicants must have a master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field and research proposal
- Applicants should have proficiency in Portuguese or English, depending on the program’s language of instruction. Accepted tests include IELTS, TOEFL, or Portuguese proficiency
- Also priority is given to students from low income families, with a total annual household income not exceeding €11,049.89 and movable property less than €115,303.20
- Applicants must must be enrolled in a higher vocational-technical course (CTESP), bachelor’s, integrated master’s, or master’s program with at least 30 ECTS credits
